WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER – UNITED METHODIST

Most people consider routine maintenance on their cars mandatory, but how many couples take the time to maintain or improve their marriage? Just like a car, relationships need special care to continue functioning properly. If some of the Joy, Romance and Fun have left your relationship, Worldwide Marriage Encounter can tune it back up so you can run like newlyweds again. Check out: www.encounter.org for weekend dates.

Note for Flood Relief in North Indiana – Account 030401
Flood buckets and flood bucket materials are being collected by the Monticello UMC, 200 South Main Street in Monticello. For more information, contact Pastor Brian Beeks at 574-583-5545.
  • DISASTER EARLY RESPONSE TRAINING
With all of the flooding around Delphi and Monticello area and tornado damage in the Nappanee area, it is essential to have more volunteers trained to serve in such emergencies so we are providing this opportunity to have equipped to serve when called.

Vounteers whether it be individuals or teams are being requested in the Monticello and Delphi area.  UM Pastors Todd Ladd and Brian Beeks have been taking the lead in getting the assistance to their affected areas.  $10,000 from UMCOR has already been received and more funds are being requested.

The One Great Hour of Sharing offering goes to provide the early response funds for UMCOR to use in disasters such as the one we are experiencing now.  In 2006 only 37% of the UM Churhes in the country took this offering while in North Indiana only 28% of the churches did so.   Missionally North Indiana Conference is above average in so many ways so maybe with a little push, we will do so in giving through One Great Hour of Sharing.

Additionally, CLICK HERE for the Disaster Training information and sign-up sheet.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to send me an email or give me a call.
